Maple Bakery Emulsion adds the rich flavor of real maple to your baked goods and frostings without adding sweetness

What is a baking emulsion?  A baking emulsion is a flavor suspended in a base containing mostly water.  In contrast, baking extracts are flavors suspended in a base containing mostly alcohol.  Our Bakery Emulsions are not compromised by the flavor of alcohol and don't "bake out" when exposed to heat like an extract flavor.

  • 1 teaspoon baking extract = 1 teaspoon emulsion
  • Allergen information: Gluten-free. Made in a facility that also processes peanuts.
  • Vegan
  • Kosher (Star K)
  • Water-based; soluble in water
  • Ingredients: Water, propylene glycol, natural and artificial flavors, xanthan gum
  • This item cannot be shipped outside the US.

Bad in Buttercream

Immediately opening the bottle, it has an off smell. My buttercream didn't smell like maple. It tastes awful or imitation like in buttercream. Just get maple extract. Maybe it's better in baked goods. Maybe I used too much. But the smell is just not appetizing. My first time trying emulsion vs extract and I'm disappointed ☹️

Maple Bakery Emulsion

I purchased this to try a bakery emulsion (versus an extract) for the first time. The recommendation is one tsp of emulsion for one tsp of extract. This Maple flavored flavoring is STRONG. It also has a slightly "imitation" after taste. I will certainly try adding less the next time.
