This silicone mesh mat will become a staple in your kitchen! Use it to line your baking sheet to reduce sticking (no parchment needed!) and help your cookies bake evenly. The texture of the mat will give your cookies a tidy woven design on the back.
We find when we bake our Sugar Cookie Recipe with these mats, we get cookies that bake evenly and spread less.
Oven safe up to 400° F (205 Celsius), freezer safe.
Black food-safe silicone mesh with gray border.
Hand wash in warm water. Not dishwasher safe.
DO NOT CUT MESH MATS.
Directions:
Rinse in warm water before first use.
Line your sheet pan with this mat and place your cut-out cookie dough directly on the mat. Do not use parchment paper or grease the mat.
You can use this baking mat multiple times in a row before having to wash it. The mat may get warm but not hot. If you wish to make a second batch of cookies immediately after the first, just carefully remove the baking mat from the hot pan and place it on your new, cool pan and bake again!
The mat will absorb a small amount of oils/butter after each bake, so after use you will notice some grease on it. This is normal. When you are ready to wash it, you can rinse it in hot water.
For a deep cleaning, hand wash in hot water with mild dish soap and rinse thoroughly. Rinse it multiple times, because soap will get stuck in the tiny holes! Pat dry.
DO NOT CUT MATS TO FIT YOUR PANS. Encased in food safe silicone is a fine fiberglass mesh. Cutting can cause fiberglass particles to spread into the air.
Made in China.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Are perforated mesh mats the same as silicone baking mats?
No, they are not! Silicone baking mats have a solid silicone baking surface; mesh mats have perforations that leave a woven design on the backs of your cookies and can help with reducing spread. Extra sticky cookie doughs or doughs that have extra bits that melt in the oven (looking at you, chocolate chips) may not work well with these mats, as they can stick to the open mesh weave.
My mat is slightly too large. Can I cut the edges?
No! Mesh mats are made from woven fiberglass that is then coated in silicone; cutting the silicone will compromise the integrity of the mat and possibly cause fiberglass contamination.
Can I bake on the solid non-perforated edge of my mesh mat?
You can, but the back of your cookie will not show the woven mat design in the spots baked on top of the solid silicone edging.
How should I clean my mesh mats?
Hand wash with gentle dish soap. Make sure to rinse the soap off well, so that it doesn't get stuck in the perforations and transfer to your baking cookies. Air dry, or place mat on a clean cookie sheet and allow to dry in the oven on low heat.
I've seen mats like this in different colors. Does the color matter?
No, the color of the mat does not matter, but the color/material of your pans does. Using light-colored baking pans will help keep your cookies from browning too much.

OMG I am flabbergasted!
I have used parchment paper and I generally use silicone mats that were purchased of Amazon names cosmos. I got 4 new pans so I thought I would try these, still a little more expensive but they were on sale. Holy guacamole! These mats are amazing, I had no idea that mats would make such a huge difference. You see people say it, but you don't always believe it. All of my cookies come out perfect now, no spread, perfect color (unless you miss your timer :( ugghh). I am back to replace all my oven mats now.

Mesh Baking Mats
Still getting use to it. I'm so use to silicone mat or parchment paper, that requires little cleaning. I LOVE the way the back of the cookie looks! I also loose some space for cookies because of the trim on the mat that you don't place cookies on. I really like having it as an option.
