Are you at the beginning stage of learning how to make decorated sugar cookies? Never decorated a sugar cookie, but really want to start? This is the class for you!

This is a foundational class that will get you started in the right direction on your cookie making journey. In this 3.5 (ish) hour class we will have 2 parts: making dough & baking cookies, and making royal icing.

 Part One you will learn:

  • Making sugar cookie dough, The Cookie Countess way
  • Best practices for rolling out, cutting and baking cookies
  • Tips for storing cookies and work efficiencies

Part Two you will learn:

  • Making Royal Icing The Cookie Countess way
  • Tips for coloring, flavoring and storing icing
  • 4 different icing consistencies: stiff, piping, hybrid, and flood
  • How to bag icing and when to use tips vs tipless bags

You will go home with recipes and tons of knowledge and the confidence to make your own cookies! This class does not decorate a "set" of cookies, but is still hands on. You will go home with some fresh baked cookies that we made together in class, and you will have the opportunity to play with all the different icing consistencies and see how each one handles.

This is an intensive learning experience, taught by TWO instructors with 20 years of cookie decorating knowledge between the 2 of them. If you want to dive deep into making decorated sugar cookies at home, this is not a class you want to miss!

Class size is limited as we will be in The Cookie Countess kitchen, not the classroom. Please note, we will be standing for most of the class. Wear your comfy shoes!

Class is held at our Cookie Countess location in Warwick, RI and class participants will have the opportunity to shop as well with a 20% off discount.

Class tickets are non-refundable. But they are transferable - please email us with requests. Classes require a minimum of 6 participants to run. If the minimum is not met by 48 hrs prior to class, you will be issued a full refund. Our classroom is located conveniently off rt 95, at 30 Jefferson Park Rd, Unit B, Warwick, RI 02888. We have parking onsite.

Ingredients: White all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salted butter, eggs, confectioners sugar, dried egg white, corn syrup, food starch, gum acacia, sodium aluminum sulphate, citric acid, vanilla cream of tarter, water, vanilla extract.

Contains: Wheat, eggs, milk.

Contains less than 2% of the following:Glycerin, FD&C red #3, modified corn starch, FD&C Blue #1, carrageenan, maltodextrin, dextrose potassium sorbate (preservative), xanthan gum, citric acid, proylene glycol, FD&C yellow #6, red #40, yellow #5, mica, titanium dioxide.

Great Class!

Im so glad I treated myself to this class, I absolutely loved it and learned so many tips and tricks. The class was super organized and the two instructors were friendly and enjoyable to watch. It was very inspiring and they gave us a cute goodie bag and icing and cookies to take home and practice. So glad I found the class!
